The perfect design

Protect panels consist of an EPS (expanded polystyrene) base plate with molded studs, protected on the upper side by a 0.8 mm thick thermoformed high-density PS film that acts as a vapor barrier. The studs feature distinct undercuts specifically designed to ensure maximum ease of installation and secure pipe retention. Protect panels are also distinguished by their high mechanical strength, allowing them to serve as a robust base layer during the system installation phase.

Protect panels measure 1450x850 mm, including the 25 mm PS film overhang on two sides that facilitates interlocking connection; the effective installation size is 1425x825 mm. Heating pipes with diameters of 14 or 17 mm can be laid at right angles or diagonally with 75 mm spacing.

The UNI EN 1264-4 standard regulates the installation of radiant surfaces embedded in the structure, mandating minimum thermal resistance limits based on the room's location and type: Protect panels offer thermal resistance ranging from 0.75 m²K/W to 2.00 m²K/W, making them suitable for any application!

Renovations: a solution for every need

Protect panels featuring a 10 mm EPS base are the ideal solution when installation height must be kept to a minimum without sacrificing thermal insulation. For floors that are already insulated, a standalone 1.0 mm thick high-density thermoformed PS (polystyrene) film is also available.
